Photo of the Night

This sweet shot was taken at Northgate Park. I drove by the park and the soccer lights were on and there was a foggy mist rolling in and I knew I had to do some night photography there. Problem was I didn't have my camera with me. By the time I got home, grabbed my camera and tripod, drove back to the park, set up the tripod, and the camera...the lights shut off. Dang! But there were still the park lights that gave off a lot of light. I didn't take that many photos. Maybe 20 or so. It was cold and kinda scary being there in the dark, by myself. I set up this shot after a couple preliminaries that weren't quite right. When I looked at this one on the display on my camera I knew it was perfect. I packed up and went home after that.

Museum Engagement Pics

We had to take Susie and Daniel's engagement photos indoors because we were on a limited time schedule because Daniel is headed off to Iraq, and it happened to be during the storm of the year. Haggin Museum was amazing to let us take them there. The grounds are gorgeous too but it was just too wet to take any outside.

Bethany & Brian's Wedding

I'm getting a website for my photography, along with a blog specifically for it, pretty soon is all I'm committing to right now. But in the meantime I'm gonna post some of my recent work because I'm really excited about it!
So here's Bethany & Brian...

Rainy Day Blues

Today I had two engagement sessions cancel on me within minutes of eachother! I was pretty bummed but determined to take some photos anyways. My sister Kimberly was the volunteer model. We drove with the purpose of going to Knights Ferry for the photo shoot, but passed a cool looking run down building off the side of the road and did a U turn. It was raining (hence the cancellation of one couple), but it made for some neat, dark shots.
